Here at The Sloane Arranger, we're always on the lookout for fabulous restaurants to suggest to our members and each month, we will be posting updates on our top recommendations. Here are this month's top picks
Date of the Month - Maxela, South Kensington
Maxela – South Kensington. Probably the best steak restaurant in London at the moment. Not only will every man on the planet salivate over the sheer size and quality of the steaks, but the women will soak up the good wine and atmosphere, and be super impressed by your generosity.
Yauatcha – Soho. Dumplings with a difference. Very sleek, very chic, very tasty. It’s a great atmosphere if you want to have a good conversation and get to know someone then this would be a great place to start.
Babylon - Kensington High Street. Sir Richard Branson’s rooftop wonderland has sublime views, exotic plants and pink flamingos. If your date has never been it’s a lovely idea for summer months and the food isn’t bad either – risotto, seabass, daube of beef, all of it fresh, seasonal and abundant.
PJs – Chelsea. A Chelsea classic for a reason, it no doubt needs no introduction. This place was opened in 1990 by Brian Stein who had a real love of polo, so prepared to be surrounded by quirkly polo artefacts and imagery.
The Bluebird – Chelsea. If you are lucky enough to get a table outside on a hot day this is a fab spot to take a date and to enjoy people watching. Ideal for grabbing a bottle of wine and watching the tennis with a few nibbles too (so highly recommended during Wimbledon).
Pollen Street Social – Mayfair. If you are after a simply gorgeous meal in Mayfair with top-notch staff then visit Jason Atherton’s Pollen Street social. It’s delicious, and beautifully presented food will really leave an impression on your date without being too over the top.
